This photo is from CSA members Billy & Gail, who write: "Part of our weekly shares at Clagett Farm are the acquaintances that quietly develop. This is Zuki who comes with Carrie and Kyle.  See ya next season."

This is the last share of the season! Thank you for being with us this this year. We'll more formally wrap up the season and survey you for your thoughts very soon. In the meantime, here are some announcements and the details of the final share:

Gleaning begins Friday the 22nd. You can glean all weekend starting the 22nd. And if you want to come after the 24th, please get in touch with Carrie beforehand by calling the farm.

Need a Turkey For Thanksgiving? Several farms in the area are offering pasture-raised turkeys for the holidays. Two that we've spoken with are Fisher Farms and Ferguson Family FarmFuture Harvest also hosts and online directory of farms in the area offering turkeys. We hope that's helpful information for you turkey eaters.

Christmas trees will be for sale the weekend after Thanksgiving. They'll be the same offer as last year, which you can read about here

What's in the final share:

  • 1 pound of daikon plus garlic
  • 1 1/2 pounds watermelon radish, potatoes, purple top turnips, Easter egg radishes and sunchokes
  • 3/4 pound total combination kale, spicy mix, arugula, bok choy, collards, tot soi, and carrots (this category is pre-bagged for Wednesday pick-ups)

What's on U-Pick (u-pick is very limited until gleaning begins):

  • Daikon radish
  • Still a lot of healthy herbs in the herb garden, including chives, cilantro, dill, mint, parsley, sage, sorrel, thyme and cardoons.

Thanks again for a great season. We'll be back soon!
