I usually attend several farm conferences and meetings during the winter. It's a good time to learn new ideas, revive old ones, meet fellow farmers, and so forth. Unfortunately I'll have to miss Rooting DC, but I've heard it's great. And unlike most of the meetings I attend, this one is especially useful for consumers and amateur gardeners. So if you're interested in composting in your kitchen, or cooking with your kids, or which fruit tree to plant in your yard, or anything else relating to fruits and veggies in the city, there's probably a workshop about it at Rooting DC. Check it out!
