2008 VoiCeS Courses Registration Now Open!

VoiCeS is an adult training course that runs once per week for about 7 weeks. Basically it's a Bay 101 course, with classes on bay ecology, history, fisheries, wetlands, agriculture, land use, and advocacy, taught by experts in the field. Everyone who takes the course commits to doing 40 hours of volunteer time on a project or multiple projects of their choice that benefit the Chesapeake Bay or local watersheds within the next year. There is a materials fee of $25 but no tuition fee.  Space is limited so early registration is recommended.

Dates are:
Jan. 24-Mar.13, 2008 in LaPlata, MD (Southern Maryland)
Jan. 23-Mar. 12, 2008 in Cambridge, MD.

For more information and a registration form, go www.cbf.org/voices.
